Midnight Sun: high jewelry collection 2023
Valérie Messika continues to explore the fascinating and mysterious world of ancient Egypt by unveiling the second opus of Beyond the Light, a collection of bright and powerful High Jewelry pieces through a unique evening that opens up a new dimension for Messika. To embody this collection, she chose French singer and model Carla Bruni. The fashion icon revives the resolutely subversive spirit of the 70s. Her fiery femininity and captivating allure capture the cheeky spirit of this collection, which takes diamonds dancing into the night. A manifesto of creativity and affirmation, Midnight Sun reveals multifaceted sets that are as much a play on light and contrast as an expression of the Maison's diamond expertise. For the first time at Messika, the yellow diamond is the queen of the ball, eclipsing the white diamond. Messika High Jewelry celebrates disco at its freest and most exhilarating.
An era of celebration that shook things up.
The 70s continue to be a source of fascination. Vibrant dance floors, eclectic styles, a host of fashion, singing and stage icons... For Ultimate Party, Valérie Messika draws her inspiration from two women who left their mark on the history of the 70s, Liza Minnelli and Diana Ross, as she creates contrasting duos of exceptional coloured diamonds. On the masterpiece necklace, a 20.04-carat pear-cut yellow diamond and a 9.07-carat cushion-cut diamond recall the crystal-clear, masterful voices of the two 70s icons. Multifaceted, this powerful diamond necklace is a masterpiece of craftsmanship: the perfectly curved gold front acts like a mirror and magnifies the refraction of the light from the diamonds. Accompanied by a diamond bracelet and matching diamond ring, this necklace embodies all the vibrancy of this celebratory collection. The star of the show? A second diamond choker, accented by a spectacular 18.05-carat yellow solitaire.
Sizzling and daring, this is the set to stand out in the night.
You had to be bold to stand out in a city like New York back in the 70s. With the Fiery set, Valérie Messika has created a diamond necklace for those who are not afraid to assert who they are. Set with pear-cut diamonds, the creations look like flames of gold and diamonds. Wild and fierce, passions ablaze... Fiery is a symbol of energy and strength, a new feat of jewelry-making expertise, as the pear-cut diamonds are surrounded by a halo and a flat surface of mirror-polished white gold. Each set, each flame, gives the impression of resting perfectly on the neck. In her quest for the perfect balance, Valérie Messika has created some daring Fiery variations, including a range of rings with some of the most original designs.
Disco, an invitation to a party like no other.
For the first time, the High Jewelry Maison is using the snow setting of traditional jewelry to illuminate 15 cushion-cut yellow diamonds ranging from 2 to 15 carats. On this carpet of precious diamonds, as diverse as a dance floor, the yellow diamond is king. Like every Valérie Messika creation, Glitter Fever is a play of sparkling contrasts. The geometric contours of the diamond jewelry in this set are in stark contrast to the less structured diamond settings and the voluptuous curves of the cushion-cut diamonds. Each square of the necklace, earrings, ring or lip jewel has been proportioned to best match the cut of each yellow diamond. High-precision work that reflects an unparalleled level of technical expertise. Here, the yellow diamond beckons you to party, with all the glamour of 70s soirées. Glitter Fever embraces the lively atmosphere of the 1970s discotheques and revisits them in a piece of jewelry that radiates the savoir-faire and creativity so characteristic of the Maison.
The Moon, a symbol of the hours after midnight.
Messika Dancing Moon celebrates one of Valérie Messika's signatures, the halo. Majestic diamond settings surround the neck like a delicate, dazzling second skin. Each row features a constellation of oval-cut diamonds, including a 2.21-carat central stone, enhanced by a meticulously-set double border. For this creation, which symbolises the stars, the Artistic Director draws her inspiration from the symbol of the night, the Moon. The inevitable witness to those disco parties where people danced into the night. This four-row diamond necklace is just as all-encompassing: it can be transformed at will to create two majestic double-row necklaces. A statement look in its full-moon version, or a more relaxed style when divided into half-moons. This High Jewelry creation is accompanied by a lip jewel, a single diamond earring and a ring that are equally disruptive. The crescent moon at the center of the necklace is repeated in three further dazzling High Jewelry creations.
