Joaillerie on the Move
2007. It's been two years since Valérie Messika set up her jewelry Maison in Paris. She’s about to unveil the diamond jewelry that will change her life. Jewelry that will undoubtedly transcend the traditional image of diamonds cultivated by Place Vendôme. The queen of gemstones will never be the same again. Paradoxically, Valérie Messika gives diamonds their freedom through the use of a gold cage. With its help, it frees itself from traditional codes and takes flight. With Move, the Founder and Artistic Director of Messika creates a poetic image of precious moving diamonds. Luxury jewelry that moves with the times.
Move, a jewelry revolution
It's the equivalent of a fountain of youth for the jewelry industry: the precious stone, which had once been static, comes alive again. It moves across the skin and embodies a new expression of femininity. Modern. Fresh. Uninhibited. Femininity at the crossroads of gender, self-expression and convention. A multifaceted femininity. Move is the story of a new lease of life. The birth of an icon. A must-have.
Move, a childhood memory
The origins of this jewelry signature lie in a childhood memory. André Messika, an internationally renowned diamond merchant, passed on his passion for gemstones to his daughter. She grew up surrounded by precious stones and behind the scenes of the most beautiful jewelry. Move was inspired by a gesture she saw her father perform thousands of times: he would move the diamonds between his fingers to better capture their brilliance. Valérie drew a mantra from this gesture: a diamond is never as beautiful as when it’s moving.
Move, infinite combinations
Today, there are many ways to express yourself with Move. Messika’s moving diamonds are embodied in jewelry collections with various influences, without losing any of their disruptive character. They are a limitless playground for Valérie Messika, from chain links with strong contours in Move Link, to a halo setting in So Move, or rougher than ever in Move Titanium. She boldly reinvents them, so that anyone can wear Move in their own style.
